WORK ON THE BOOK “THEATER!”
REDUCE – ESCAPE – FORGET
Contribution to the exhibition “Ohne Start kein Ziel” (Without Start No Goal) at kunsthaus muerz, Mürzzuschlag, 2016, curated by Sabina Hörtner. The exhibition dealt with different aspects of travelling.
“Reduce – Escape – Forget” is an 8-page comic, on sheets of 70 x 100 cm, about crossing the border from Mexico to Guatemala in 1991. Civil war was going on in Guatemala, but the protagonists had other problems …
Within the exhibition I did the workshop “The box and a secret” with gifted young people from the region.

THE BUNKER – Tenderness with “B”
The writer and performer Johannes Schrettle (“zweite liga für kunst und kultur”) sent me this text (English below):
Zärtlichkeit mit B
ein bunker, wo menschen versammelt sind, die nie mehr rauskommen. es schaut ein bisschen aus nach einem französischen film, ein paar obszöne details sind ständig im blickfeld. dann taucht auf einmal unter einer bettdecke ein kollektiv auf:
HEY! ICH HABE IN DEN 80ern SCHON MAL DARAN GEDACHT EINEN BAUM ZU PFLANZEN. HEUTE HABE ICH EIN UNTERNEHMEN. DER BUNKER IST MEINE ZIELGRUPPE MEIN PUBLIKUM UND MEINE GROSSE LIEBE. IRGENDWANN WERDE ICH WIEDER AUFTAUCHEN ABER DANN ALS ZÄRTLICHES MONSTER. IN DER KOMBÜSE. AM JAKOMINIPLATZ. IM BRUNNEN. AM ZENTRALFRIEDHOF. EIN PAAR SCHRÄGE SOUNDS.
Tenderness with B
A bunker, where people are gathered, who never will get out again. It looks a bit like in a french movie, all the time there are some obscene details in the field of vision. Suddenly a collective emerges from under a bedspread:
“Hey! I have thought about planting a tree already in the 1980s. Today I have a business company. The bunker is my target audience my public and my great love. Eventually I will emerge again but then as a tender beast. In the galley. At the Jakomini square. In the fountain. At the central cemetary.” A few crooked sounds.
THE RURAL AREA AND ITS INHABITANTS
Drawings, after photos by VGT, Association against Animal Factories (http://vgt.at), 2012.
The area where the exhibition took place was visually dominated by endless cornfields and olfactorily dominated by factory farms producing pigs.
The drawings were a contribution to the exhibition “LAND – urban in sicht” (COUNTRY – urban in sight) at “Die Mühle”, Schwarzau im Schwarzautal, September 2012.
